Whiterock is a near-pristine private nature preserve that spans almost 6,000 acres. Then after our hike, we’ll find a cool space to feast as we enjoy a picnic. We’ll soak up the fall sun and enjoy a beautiful November day together.

It’s a modern day treasure hunt! Grab your sprout and head out on an urban adventure to find hidden geocaches around Des Moines! This event will teach you the basics of geocaching and let you put your new skills to the test as we hunt down hidden treasures. Suitable for sprouts aged 7-10.

Join us at the beautiful Cedar River Crossing protected area outside of Solon as we wander through 560 acres of restored woodland and wetland managed by Johnson County Conservation. Guides Carolyn and Louise will be ready with all the nerdy nature facts your heart could dream of!

Step into a perfect spring evening at our Woodland Twilight Tea Party, a magical night of nature, community, and simple pleasures. Together with Mary from Red Dragon Herbs & Teas, we’re throwing a beautiful tea party celebrating the flavors of the season and the renewal we all get by spending beautiful evenings outdoors.
