Pride Pike (benefitting Iowa Safe Schools)

  • Water Works Park 2251 George Flagg Parkway Des Moines, IA, 50321 United States (map)

$25

To celebrate Pride Month, join Pie Bird Pies, Current Coffee and Wander Women Midwest for a very special Pride Pike! Celebrate the end of Pride Month during this extra special, extra queer Pike extravaganza! We’ll gather at Water Works Park, and then chow down on some delicious treats from Pie Bird Pies and cold brew from Current Coffee. All profits from registrations will be donated to Iowa Safe Schools.

This event is open to all queer folks and allies of all genders. This is a great event for meeting new friends, gathering with old pals and celebrating queerness in Des Moines!

Registration includes a guided interpretive nature walk with Wander Women (we'll be walking ~2 miles through Water Works Park and Gray's Lake Park), Pie Bird Pies’ famous Biscuit Cinnamon Rolls and a cold brew/cold brew latte from Current Coffee. We'll be gathering at the Des Moines Biergarten at Water Works Park before and after the hike for beautiful spring nature vibes. GF and/or vegan options are available, please indicate on your registration if you need that!

Not able to attend the event but still want to donate to Iowa Safe Schools? We have a non-attending ticket option as well, which serves as a direct donation to ISS.

And in case you need a brief bio: Pie Bird Pies is a home-based Des Moines bakery offering seasonal fruit pie made with as many local ingredients as possible. We are proudly queer and women-owned. Current Coffee is another great, queer-owned small business friend, making the city’s best cold brew (not biased, it’s just the truth).
