Join Wander Women and Pie Bird Pies on the tastiest collaboration nature’s ever seen as we wander through our favorite parks in Central Iowa and enjoy Des Moines’ best pies! Seriously, if you haven’t tried Pie Bird Pies yet, you’re in for a life-changing treat.
We’re going back to the basics this May for a delicious night of gourmet hot dogs and s’mores hand pies! Join us for a beautiful spring hike around Yellow Banks Park, where we’ll be on the hunt for late spring flowers and the last of the migrating birds. Then we’ll gather around the fire pit and enjoy a dinner of delicious treats and good company. Go crazy at our build-your-own-gourmet-hot-dog bar, with all the crazy toppings you can dream up, before heating up your very own famous s’mores hand pie from Pie Bird Pies! A classic camp night with friends — could it get any better?

Adventure Rating: Beginner Each Wander Women event has an Adventure Rating attached (Beginner, Intermediate or Challenging) to give Wanderers a better idea of the activity level and physical requirements of the event. This Bite-Sized Adventure is rated at Beginner because our hike will take place on well groomed trails with access to primitive amenities.
