Spend a day paddling at the beautiful Big Creek Lake, and then make fresh pizza on a camp pizza stove! We will kayak around the lake, learn about the waterfowl, fish and plant life around Big Creek, and enjoy the late spring sun! Relax, enjoy the calm of the water, the calls of the birds and frogs, and soak in midsummer as you float in your kayak. We’ll paddle for a while before taking turns making homemade fresh pizzas on a camp pizza oven. Literally a pizza oven, but portable! We are partnering with the Iowa DNR for this event — it’ll be a good one!

Adventure Rating: Beginner
Each Wander Women event has an Adventure Rating attached (Beginner, Intermediate or Challenging) to give Wanderers a better idea of the activity level and physical requirements of the event. This Bite-Sized Adventure is rated at Beginner because our paddle will be beginner-friendly with a safety and paddling instruction prior to getting in the water, and our event will take place at a shelter with access to modern amenities.
