Natural dyeing, it's so hot right now. Savor the springtime vibes with Wander Women and Pepperharrow as we spend time on the farm and learn the ins-and-outs of botanical dyeing and tips on spring gardening! In either a morning or afternoon session, you'll dye your very own bandana with flowers from the farm in the picturesque setting of one of the Midwest’s most popular flower farms, Pepperharrow! You’ll arrange beautiful dried blooms to aid in the creation of a naturally dyed bandana, while learning natural dyeing techniques including: flower hammering, rolling, and binding. In addition to a dyeing deep-dive, we’ll share tips for preparing your garden for spring and take a hike around the farm while our creations set. We’ll learn about the flowers we are dyeing with, and some tips and tricks for growing flowers in your own yard!
All of this will be accented by a delicious charcuterie board and lavender lemonade (made with lavender from the farm) to share as we make our beautiful creations! Pepperharrow is not currently open to the public, so this is a great opportunity to tour the farm and gardens!
Registration is limited to 18 folks per session (morning or afternoon).
