Hike and hang for the full worm moon with Wander Women! Wriggle on out for our monthly full moon hike - this month at the beautiful Walnut Woods State Park. Watch the sun set and the moon rise as we hike along the Raccoon River corridor! The Raccoon River corridor is a hot spot for migrating birds in the spring and fall months, and is always full of wildlife no matter what season!
The "Worm Moon" happens in March, and is so named to celebrate the thawing of the soil and the emergence of worms and other critters. On our hike, we’ll stop every so often for nerdy nature facts, pointing out the flora and fauna we find along the way (including a group worm-spotting count) before heading back for a campfire, hot tea and s’mores!
Registration is limited to 25 folks.
