The first Eastern Iowa hike was so nice, we’re doing another! Join us at the beautiful Cedar River Crossing protected area outside of Solon as we wander through 560 acres of restored woodland and wetland managed by Johnson County Conservation. Cedar River Crossing is home to abundant wildlife and plant life, including many species of special conservation concern, and is a hotspot for birders. If you’ve never visited, this is a great way to discover a new natural area in the corridor! Guides Carolyn and Louise will be ready with all the nerdy nature facts your heart could dream of!
Plus, it’s national cookie day, so your guides will be ready with homemade chocolate chip lavender cookies and Wander Women sun tea after the hike to enjoy. Spring evenings don’t get much better than that!
Registration is limited to 20 folks.
