Happy feet make happy hikers! Join us for Foot Health for Hikers, a hands-on workshop with Libby Trausch, a physical therapist who specializes in foot health and care. Whether you’re dealing with nagging foot pain, or just want to keep your feet strong for miles of adventure, this class will give you the tools to move comfortably and confidently on the trail. We’ll cover essential toe and foot stretches, talk through common foot conditions like plantar fasciitis and bunions, dive into the best footwear choices, and explore simple tools that can prevent and relieve pain.

Your feet do a lot of work—let’s show them some love! This workshop is designed for hikers of all experience levels, from casual wanderers to long-distance trekkers. You’ll leave with practical techniques to improve foot mobility, reduce soreness, and make hiking feel better from the ground up.

Registration is limited to 15 participants.

About our instructor
Walking has always been Dr. Libby Trausch’s first passion. Whether stepping out her front door, hiking local trails, backpacking through the Midwest, or trekking internationally from village to village, she finds clarity with every mile. Walking makes thinking easier, deep conversations flow better, and she loves experiencing the world at a slower pace. Because of this, taking care of her feet is a top priority.

As a physical therapist specializing in chronic and persistent pain, Libby recognized early on that issues throughout the body often start with the feet. Her love of walking, combined with her expertise in movement and pain relief, naturally led her to study the strength and mobility of the feet, toes, and ankles—and how they influence the rest of the body. She believes that stability and power begin with an intentional relationship with our feet and is passionate about helping others move with less pain.
