Fall Equinox Hike

  • Yellow Banks Park 6801 Southeast 32nd Avenue Pleasant Hill, IA, 50327 United States (map)

$15

Welcome the new season with an evening hike with us! The fall equinox marks a time of change — brilliant plant color, cooler temps and introspection. Celebrate with us on the day the season turns over, with a hike through one of our favorite parks in Central Iowa.

For this hike, we’ll hike along the trails of Yellow Banks Park, a beautiful park in Pleasant Hill managed by Polk County Conservation. We’ll trek through the park’s different landscapes, from prairie to woodland, to watch the changing of the seasons happen in real time. Prepare yourself for beautiful fall color, fall prairie plants, migrating birds and more. We’ll take time along the hike for a reading or two that celebrates the shift to fall. We can’t wait to welcome in the beauty of the changing seasons with new and old friends.

Registration is limited to 30 folks.
