Spend a summer evening on the water with us! Join us for a beautiful golden hour paddle and then a summer-themed picnic afterward as we revel in paddling season and the longer days of summer!
We’ll gather at the newly renovated Easter Lake Park on Des Moines's south side for a beautiful evening paddle on the lake — one of the best areas for paddling in the metro — and then gather for a summer-themed picnic dinner to cap the evening. This evening is great for both those with paddle experience or folks brand new to paddling!
Participants will be kayaking and casual paddling instruction will be given — this is not a paddling basics class. Paddling on the lake is easy and perfect for beginners, but the focus of this event is fun, community and intentionally getting outside. WW guides will be there to support participants as they explore paddling individually.
Registration is limited to 12 folks.
