Join us for a beautiful morning at Ledges State Park, one of the crown jewels of the Iowa state park system!
We’ll start the morning with an in-depth hike along the park’s many trails. Situated on the banks of the Des Moines River, Ledges is famous for its rising limestone bluffs and gorgeous scenery. On our guide-led interpretive hike, we’ll talk about the history and geology of the area, and stop to learn fun nature facts. A hiker’s dream morning!
Then after our hike, we’ll find a cool space to feast as we enjoy a picnic along Ledge’s famous creeks. We’ll cool our feet in the refreshing water (creek stomping encouraged, it will feel amazing after our hike!) and soak up a beautiful summer day together.
Registration includes a guided hike, a homemade, seasonal sack lunch and hiking snacks. Come adventure at one of Iowa’s best parks while meeting new friends and enjoying all nature has to offer!
