Wander Women Iowa is seeking a part time Logistics Coordinator to help us plan and execute all-inclusive outdoor adventures for women across the Midwest. This is a perfect role for someone looking for consistent, flexible, part time hours and who has a passion for getting women, POC and LGBTQ+ folks outside.

Job Description

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the organized preparation of regular Wander Women trips for the 2022 season. You’ll work directly with Jenn and Kerri and the Wander Women guides to ensure the smooth prep and execution of all trips. Responsibilities include:

  • Packing the Wander Women van and trailer for all upcoming trips

  • Meeting with trip guides to coordinate needed materials and equipment for each trip

  • Coordinating van/trailer pickup with guides

  • Receiving the van/trailer after trips and managing gear storage and equipment cleaning, including but not limited to: tent drying, mess kit cleaning, gear washing, vehicle organization

  • Developing menus and prepping food for each trip

  • Communicating upcoming trip information to participants

Requirements

  • Live in the Des Moines metro area

  • Have some weekday and flexible Friday and Sunday availability (for van/trailer drop off)

  • Be able to comfortably lift 50+ pounds consistently over the course of an hour

  • Have access to own vehicle or transportation

Qualifications

  • You are reliable and flexible, able to manage your own schedule, and are not afraid to delegate.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly; $18/hr; paid bi-weekly

  • You can expect 8-12 hours per week
