Eastern Iowa September Community Hike

  • Black Hawk State Historical Site, Rock Island 1510 46th Avenue Rock Island, Illinois, 61201 United States (map)

FREE

Join us for a free community hike at Black Hawk State Historic Site in Rock Island. We’ll hike approximately 3–4 miles through the wooded trail system, including rolling/hilly terrain, ravines, stairs and sections near the Rock River. This will be a moderately-paced, social hike with stops to regroup along the way.

Our community hikes are free and open to women, non-binary and gender fluid folks who feel comfortable in spaces that center the experiences of women. Bring your friends, bring your kiddos, bring total strangers who look like they like nature! We're just excited to gather with all you nature nerds! Unfortunately this time - no pups allowed. These hikes are a great opportunity to see what Wander Women is all about and get out into nature during the week.

Participants should be comfortable hiking approximately 90 minutes over uneven natural surfaces with some elevation changes and stairs.

Registration is limited to 25 participants.
